The Roaches

The Roaches are situated above Tittesworth Reservoir and Leek in the heart of the Peak District. The rock formation itself rises as high as 1,667 feet.
It is a highly popular area for rock climbers and walkers and at the weekend is very popular and busy. Rock climbing is one of those activities that really attracts people as it has a good mixture of athleticism but also a thrill similar to that you may get when you visit partypoker.com. What's great is that it can be universally enjoyed, so it's fun for all the family.

It has great views and on a clear day you can see as far as Snowdon in Wales.

Directions to the Roaches if you take the A53 road from Leek, Staffordshire towards Buxton.
After 4 miles and about half a mile past the Three Horseshoes pub take a left turn signposted Upper Hulme.
After a hundred metres take the left fork. Follow this road for about one and a half miles. Park in the lay-byes.
